This painting was inspired by abstract and surrealist styles. It was based on a dream where I was walking home but a storm hit of red and blue sand hit. I reconstructed this painting over a year painting it in different styles and tones of red. After repainting one last time on a small piece of Bristol board, I made a gradient of three different reds and titanium white. After letting the paint dry I noticed the texture left in the background and used to paint thin strokes of the colors I saw in the sand.
